Your Internet connection is a vital piece of your computer experience. We use the Internet for a lot of different purposes from entertainment to working from home and taking online classes. But what about when your Internet connection doesn't work right, particularly if it slows down.
We're asked "Why does my Internet connection slow down?" Sometimes Internet slowness has to do with bandwidth restrictions from your service provider, and has nothing to do with your computer at all. However, sometimes, there is a reason within your computer itself. Every website you visit puts various files on your computer. Cookies, temporary internet files, and other forms of data appear each time you get on a site. These files make browsing easier, however, if they accumulate, they can make your system, and more to the point, they can also make your Internet connection slow down. This is often a simple fix, and merely involves you signing into your browser to clear them out. However, what about when it isn't a cookie or internet file issue?

What Else Can Cause Your Internet to Slow Down

If you still are experiencing slow Internet, contact your service provider. If everything checks out on their end, you may have a problem within your system itself. It's never a good idea to play around with your Internet connection if you don't know what you're doing. You're actually better off calling a computer repair shop to look at the problem as you may actually have a computer virus or other problem causing this problem.
So remember, computers are complex, and even though some problems are easy to take care of, make sure you know what you're doing. The best decision you can make?

What is a registry issue? First off you have to know what the Windows registry is. The Windows Registry is a hierarchical database in your computer that keeps track of all of your system settings as well as any programs.
As your computer repair shop in Mesa, we strongly recommend that you do not make any changes to the Windows Registry without a full knowledge of how to do so. We also advise you to be cautious in buying any sort of registry cleaning software. Why? Well, messing with the Windows registry is like messing with the system files of your operating system. It can turn your computer or laptop into a very bulky and expensive paperweight.

What Can Registry Errors Do to My System?

In the old days if you installed new hardware or software on your system, you could conceivably risk a registry conflict. Fortunately, a lot of components are plug and play using technologies such as USB ports, and as such are much less likely to cause an issue. If you do encounter a registry issue, it can cause a bunch of headaches. You could find your computer not booting cleanly, having you go through a bunch of pop up screens to get to your desktop. You could find your computer slowing to the point of stopping.
As to what causes registry errors, a lot of times, it is user error, in some cases however, your Windows Registry can be compromised by a malware attack.
So if you encounter Windows registry errors, above all else do not try to fix them yourself. If any component of your computer isn't working, or you are encountering repeated problems with any software on your system, call a computer repair shop .

Why is My Computer Screen Blank?

What does it mean if your computer screen is blank? If you turn on your computer, and you turn on your monitor, but there is nothing there, first wait a minute. If the computer is booting up it may not be at the desktop screen yet. If you still have a blank screen after a couple of minutes, you may have a problem between your monitor and your computer itself. Start with the simple stuff first.
Check to see that your monitor is plugged into a power source and the monitor power light is on . If so, then check to make sure that the monitor connection isn't loose. If you've tried this and it still isn't working, you may have a bad monitor, or a problem with the computer itself. If you're having a blank monitor on a laptop, then you are definitely going to need to get it into a computer repair shop. At SoftQue, we diagnose and repair laptop screen problems almost everyday

What Does it Mean When Your Screen Freezes

What does it mean when your screen freezes? First off, when your screen freezes and the cursor won't move when you move your mouse, it isn't the screen that is freezing up, it is your computer. How do you resolve this problem?
Well, hopefully you have saved whatever you were working on when it froze because most of the time when it freezes like this, usually the best course of action is to reboot your computer. As for what is causing your computer to freeze, there are a many causes. It can be something like a registry conflict, corrupt files, insufficient ram, or some sort of malware such as spyware or a computer virus. Sometimes, though, it is merely a matter of turning your computer off and back on. If this hasn't solved your problem, check the batteries in your wireless mouse. If you are still having problems, then you're going to need to get your computer into a repair shop.
Remember, when you are using a computer, you are using a complex mix of both hardware and software. Like all complex things, sooner or later, something goes wrong.
So if your computer is starting to act up, don't take any chances. Get it into a computer repair shop in Mesa, ASAP.

My Computer Won't Start

What does it mean when your computer won't start? If your computer has difficulty in booting up, or suddenly shuts off, it could be a sign that your power supply is going bad. Start from the wall first, though. Make sure that your surge protector is plugged into the wall outlet, and then check the power cord of your computer. Make sure it's not loose or frayed.
If your cord's fine, move your computer to another outlet and test it there. If it is your power supply, get it into a computer repair shop. Why can't you fix it yourself? Well, for one thing, if you don't have any sort of grounding, while you may receive a mild amount of static discharge that is harmless to you, static can permanently damage your motherboard, hard drive, memory chips, or even your CPU.

Computer Starts, Windows Won't Boot Up

If your computer boots up, but Windows, does not, first off don't panic. Wait a couple of minutes, then power off your system. Unplug your system from the power connection. Let your system sit powered down and unplugged for about two to three minutes, then plug it back in and power it up. If Windows still isn't booting, it usually means there is a problem with the Windows software itself. Usually, at this point the only thing that you can really do by yourself, is to install the Windows software again. A compotent repair technician has an arsenal of esoteric tricks that my help repair the operating system and in reloading Windows by yourself, you run the risk of losing your data permanently.
If you have tried the simple fixes and you're still having a problem, you want to get your computer into a computer repair shop as soon as you can.
